Computers

You can get some great computers these days with lots of RAM and memory. However, if your computer is a few years old and you have been using it on a daily basis over this time, you will eventually notice that it doesn’t run as fast as it used to. The most common culprit for this lack of speed has to do with having too many junk files within Windows. If you consider all the downloads you’ve done over the life of your computer, or old files you no longer use or need, clutter can build up and cause Windows to run slower than its potential.

If your operating system has to read loads of files just to run, and these junk files serve no purpose, then your computer is basically struggling to execute simple, everyday tasks. Windows uses system files to help run your computer but over time, these files can become corrupt thus causing a lag as Windows is trying to read bad files.

One of the best ways to remedy this situation is to use what’s called a registry cleaner. A registry cleaner will examine the registry files that run in the background to make sure your operating system works. You should also consider getting a defragmenting program to help sort the unused, dead files and free up some memory as well as system files so your computer runs more efficiently. There are free registry and defragmenting programs however, some aren’t as good as the paid products so you should compare both and then put these programs to work for your computer. You’ll be glad you did.
